Hello
My name is Hiba, a.k.a, The Rookie Novelist.
I am currently a PR and Communications professional and have been in the industry for over 10 years. However, writing has always been my passion. I decided that I was at a point in my life where I needed to do what I love, and so, I'm finally following my dreams.
My Story
Ever since I was a child, I have been obsessed with reading. I loved being transformed to faraway, imaginary lands, exploring new characters and their adventures.
As I grew older, I came to love writing too. I studied journalism and then moved on to work in PR, which I have been doing for a decade. Throughout that time, though, I had always been toying with the idea that I should write my own fiction novel.
Once the pandemic hit, I was confronted with the fact that life was too short, and that I should finally go after my dreams and make them a reality. I started writing my novel, finally.
I just sat at my laptop one day and began typing. I probably changed the direction of my book over five times, but that's just how my creative process works.
Realizing that my book would be a long-term project, I launched my blog as well, which provided me with a platform to write about topics that interest me and that I wanted to share with others - and that's how Hiba's Musings came to life!
Split between personal and professional topics, this has become my space for self-expression. I hope that you enjoy my blog and stay tuned for my book release.
